So this was one of my crafty endeavors from the last duty station for us. It turns out that my husband and I both have Scottish heritage in blood. He dutifully cut the shield shape out of wood for me and I painted the coat of arms for our historical clans on them as decor for our porch.

This is a collage that shows the shields close up and hanging. Just a nice little touch of personalization to that military housing that sits on every base in the states.
