Early Portraits

I suppose we all have to start somewhere.

I was very much a nature photographer for the first few years of my experience. When I took a job shooting for the college newspaper, I was suddenly confronted with having to shoot a whole new range of things to add to my portfolio. To be fair, most of it was covering sporting events, which I LOVED. But I did have to shoot some more traditional shots.

Luckily… I could talk those closest to me into posing. 🙂 This image, of my dear (adopted in college) brother and his soon-to-be wife at the time was my very early attempt at portraits… not too shabby for many years ago. 🙂
