Something about this image makes me wish I could speak French.
I’m not going to go into detail about the Eiffel Tower since I have posted a picture of it before, but I couldn’t resist this one. As beautiful Paris is during the daylight hours, it is a whole different city at night. It was then that I could really see why they call it the city of love.
I remember getting this image specially. I was tired and cold… we had been out all day. I was ready to go back to the hotel and sleep. My hubby insisted that we go and take this one last image for the day. I couldn’t be happier that we did… because it was perfect.

“I love the night passionately. I love it as I love my country, or my mistress, with an instinctive, deep, and unshakeable love. I love it with all my senses: I love to see it, I love to breathe it in, I love to open my ears to its silence, I love my whole body to be caressed by its blackness. Skylarks sing in the sunshine, the blue sky, the warm air, in the fresh morning light. The owl flies by night, a dark shadow passing through the darkness; he hoots his sinister, quivering hoot, as though he delights in the intoxicating black immensity of space. ”― Guy de Maupassant
