I have no illusions about this photograph. Yep. It’s a toy car. Yep. It’s a posed background out of a book, and a pillow for the car to sit on. But sometimes you just have to shoot the silly things too.
My sister-in-law and I were talking about the basics of how to shoot. You know… normal stuff like how to blur backgrounds and how to get more light in a shot without using flash. This image was one of the products of us setting up random little sets to practice shooting. After all, its easier to take pictures when you know your subject isn’t going to move an inch.
It is groundbreaking? Heck, no! But it still makes me smile whenever I see the image, and that is really what is important about photography.
