I had to search quite a while to find the picture for today! Mostly because I have had it in mind for a while now, but wasn’t 100% sure where it was and I shot it a very VERY long time ago.
It was in a phase where I was trying to experiment with making a blur on purpose and making it beautiful. I don’t think there was a better place to practice then at a university dance concert. I know that this kind of like abstract art… it’s not for everyone. However, I thought at the time that It was important to try everything. I was really accustomed to needing things to be clear and crisp. I was working for the school paper at the time and shooting sporting events most of the time. However I just thought that some of these kind of worked, especially because it kind of captures the path of the dance.
