Can anyone guess what this?
That is actually one of my favorite parts about dabbling in macro-photography. I like the little bit of distortion… the guessing factor that plays into it. This image is actually a close-up from a handmade Venetian mask that we got in our travels to Rome. He was a jester of sorts, and had the bells hanging off of his hats. I colorized this image to match the gold of the original bell, because I thought that, plus the strong black tones that went with it, made the lines so strong. Overall, I think it’s really effective.
