Sculpted Lines

Now I talked a little bit about glass yesterday with the church. I do have a fascination for glass of fantastic colors. It makes sense then that one of my favorite artists is Dale Chihuly. He has a way of creating lovely movement and elegant lines that appeal to everyone. He has a permanent exhibit built into the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio, and that is where this image comes from.

Now this photograph was taken years ago, but I still love the composition of it. I especially like the coy who happened to be swimming along the bottom. It just gives a real life-cycle kind of vibe to the image.

“Glass is the most magical of all materials. It transmits light in a special way … I’m pleased that my art appeals to so many people of all ages.” -Dale Chihuly
