Elephants on Parade

Naturally while living in Europe, my husband and I have taken it upon ourselves to travel as much as possible. We have even stretched out to to Asia for a brief stint. One of things that I love about it is that our home is slowly becoming an eclectic mix of culture as we bring home things from all over the world.

This particular piece came home from Thailand with it. I have been shooting a variety of things around the house, trying to create interest pieces for this blog. Some of the guides told us that the elephant is good luck in Thailand, so we got a handful of memorabilia featuring them. The dark wood made for a interesting color when hit with light. I love the turquoise color of the runner underneath too. It makes a wonderful contrast.
