If you really want to see the hustle and bustle of urban life, London is where you want to go. It has a unique presence that is very different from the rest of Europe. The culture is vast and iconic. It speaks to it’s travelers as a world hub; a crossroads were many different people all come together in this eclectic mix of art, industry, and history. It is also, to a certain extent, like walking into a time machine. Buildings that have been standing for hundreds of years are being passed by the lovers of modern technology.
This was one of my favorite pictures from London. It mixed the grandeur of the Palace of Westminster (Namely Big Ben) which was rebuilt in the 1800s after a fire devastated the surviving middle-ages style building that was there before, and the hustle and bustle of the street. Namely, it shows on of London’s world famous Double Decker Bus. I used a sepia-like tone to give it a little more antique feel, and to pull some of the gravitational history that I loved so much into the image.
